Retreat Opportunities
Retreat opportunities are an opportunity for single Catholic men (ages 18-45) to go beyond books or impressions and experience the monastic life. Many participants may know little about, or may never before have visited, a monastery. Whatever your experience is, come and visit us.
The most important aspect of the retreats will be our liturgical celebrations in the Abbey Church. In addition, the quiet repose of our 212 acre campus will afford you welcome refuge for personal reflection on what God is calling you to do. Your experience will be enhanced by discussions on related topics such as scripture, liturgy, theology, and monastic spirituality.
In addition to the daily celebration of the Eucharist, worship during these retreats includes: Lauds (morning prayer), and Midday Prayer, Vespers (evening prayer), Vigils (the night office of psalms, readings and meditation).
